Clubs

Radio Club:

The Radio Club meets every Thursday and Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center. The club looks forward to having new members of all ages join. Various programs are run during the course of the year. There are training sessions to obtain various radio licenses. Also, this club is involved in ham-radio festivals and field experiences where they are in contact with numerous areas around the world with their amateur radios. This club assists the Recreation & Parks Department with its annual Memorial Day Parade and the 4th of July Fireworks Show. Also, club auctions, shows and classes are held.

Fair Lawn Art Association:

The Fair Lawn Art Association is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. The membership year runs from September through August. Membership is required for all classes and workshops which are run during the day and week nights by monitors and instructors (there is also a fee for the classes). Classes and workships are offered year-round such as; pastel painting, oil painting for young people, drawing and painting from the model, watercolor/intermediate to advanced, painting and composition in all media, life drawing session with model, life workshop with dressed model, painting in any media, advanced painting workshop.

Old Library Theater:

The Old Library Theater (OLT) is run by an elected board of directors that is the steering committee for its creative process and growth. The theatre generally produces five shows a season, usually two musicals, one drama or comedy, a children's show and an original production or musical revue. the OLT holds open auditions for all its productions and new members are always welcome and encouraged to audition or just get involved. We allow the directors to cast who they see fit and have encouraged them to utilize various publications for audition notices.

Bridge Club:

The Bridge Club meets on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Fair Lawn Community Center. This is social duplicate bridge games with lessons given if needed. Some knowledge of bridge is necessary. Weekly bridge games are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere during these afternoons.
