The Borough is providing an additional way for residents to receive local alerts.
In addition to the Constant Contact emails, Fair Lawn Residents Can Now Receive Real Time Public Safety Messages Through NIXLE.
The Borough of Fair Lawn has partnered with NIXLE to implement a Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time for localized emergency situations and relevant community advisories. All Alerts will be targeted geographically, allowing residents to receive localized, relevant alerts from the Borough. NIXLE Alerts can be sent via Text, Email, Voice, Web, Social Media, and the NIXLE Mobile App in an instant. NIXLE is partnered with NLETS for unmatched data security, as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Blue Alert Network, and Google for unmatched reach and two-way information exchange.
This system, combined with our other email and notification methods, is designed to get emergency messages to you quickly and effectively and to gather as many means of contacts as you may have, so that in the event of an emergency that affects Fair Lawn, we can notify you in multiple ways. The service is secure, reliable and easy to use. IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED WITH NIXLE or CODE RED, YOU MUST RE-REGISTER.
As a resident, there are two simple ways to register:

- Sign up via the NIXLE Widget
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation text to your mobile device. You can also customize your alert settings by going to www.nixle.com and creating a User Profile.
