Bergen County Mosquito Control Spraying in Fair Lawn

In compliance with N.J.A.C. Title 7, Chapter 30 the Bergen County Mosquito Control Division BCMCD will be applying insecticides for the control of adult mosquito populations on an area-wide basis, in the Borough, as needed. In order to reduce the number of nuisance and vector mosquitoes in the specified areas, adult mosquito control products will be applied from the ground by truck or handheld equipment and/or by aircraft, all using low volume (LV) or ultra-low volume (ULV) techniques.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) & Rutgers University has approved and recommended these mosquito control products for residential mosquito control and considers them to pose no unreasonable health risk when applied according to label directions. Neither the USEPA nor NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) requires relocating or taking special precautions during spraying with this product.

The Bergen County Mosquito Control will be performing an early morning ULV Truck Spray in Fair Lawn on Monday, August 16, 2021 between the hours of 4-6 AM. The County will be spraying duet adulticide to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes as well as Vectobac larvacide to help control the mosquito larvae.

As a precaution, please keep your windows closed.

In the event that it rains, the spray will be postponed until Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

The map of the spray area and additional information can be found on the County's website at:
