Revised Notice of Annual Meeting of the Mayor and Council for 2026

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1979, c.231 (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.), this notice shall serve as the Revised Annual Meeting Notice for 2026 of the Borough Council of the Borough of Fair Lawn pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:4-18. All Regular Meetings shall be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn, New Jersey. All Work Sessions and Budget Meetings shall be held in Conference Room 201 on the second of the Municipal Building.

All members of the public in attendance will have the opportunity to comment during the public comment period of each meeting. The meeting date and/or time appearing below in bold underline represents a revised meeting date and/or time.

Dates that are bolded designate a change in date from the original notice on October 26, 2025. 

Reorganization Meeting - Tuesday, 7:00 p.m.

Budget Meetings - Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m.

Work Sessions - Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m., prevailing time unless otherwise indicated:
January 13, February 3, March 3, April 14, May 5, June 9, July 7, August 11 (7:00 p.m.)

Regular Meetings - Tuesdays, 7:30 p.m., prevailing time unless otherwise indicated:  
January 27, February 24, March 24, April 28, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 11 (8:15 p.m.)
September 29, October 20, November 24, December 15


Reorganization and Regular Meetings will be broadcast live by Fair Lawn TV for viewing on Cablevision Channel 77 or Verizon FiOS Channel 37 and livestreamed for viewing on www.fairlawn.org and on YouTube.

The agenda for each meeting will be available on the Borough’s website at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Formal action may be taken at any of the above-listed meetings. Portions of all meetings may be held in executive session to the extent allowed by law.
