Membership
The members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps receive no pay for their service to the community. These dedicated volunteers come from all walks of life: white collar, blue collar, stay-at-home parents, students and retired persons. Our ages range from 16 to those in their 70s. Not a Fair Lawn resident? Not a problem. You just need to be in Fair Lawn during your shift.
Requirements
Did you know that at the age of 16 you can become a NJ State certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Age: 16+
Health: Ability to lift patients with the use of our equipment.
Time: You must attend EMT school (approximately 200 hours) and pass the National Registry EMT exam.
Schedule:
- 11 hours per week
- Meetings every other Wednesday night (7:30 pm)
