A special message from Our Senior Citizen Fitness Instructor

to her Senior Citizen Fitness Class participants

In September 1996, the fitness program at the Fair Lawn Senior Center was designed and implemented by Donna J. Neill for the active older adults of community. Donna believes that fitness can be fun and beneficial simultaneously. Donna is an American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) certified "Group Fitness Instructor," with an "Older Adult Fitness" certification from the American Institute of Fitness Instructors. She is also a member of I.D.E.A. Health and Fitness Association and the American Senior Fitness Association (S.F.A.).

Nancy Whittaker joined the Senior Center in September 2005 with her own enthusiastic approach to fitness and wellness. Nancy is certified by the American and Fitness Association of America (A.F.A.A.) as a “Group Fitness Instructor", with a Personal Training certification from the World Instruction Training School (W.I.T.S.).

The effort to join is small but the benefits to one's general health and feeling of well-being are so beyond measure! All participants are required to complete a Health Questionnaire prior to their first class and wear sneakers (or rubber-soled shoes).

Please review our fitness class guidelines.
