• Fair Lawn residents can also enjoy the Community Center's fitness room, walking track, pickleball, basketball, table tennis, and more. There is even an arcade with games you can play for free.

Thank you for your interest in The Fair Lawn Community Center and The George Frey Center for Arts & Recreation.

The theater is located in the Fair Lawn Community Center, 10-10 20th Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410, it is a professional level performing arts theater with seating for 170 people plus wheelchair seating for 4. The facilities include a complete sound and light control booth, two backstage dressing rooms with bathrooms, a large area for set building with delivery access from the exterior. Your guests will enter into a large, sunlit lobby space which accommodates the seating capacity of the theater with a large coat room, public restrooms, a box office and refreshment window.

Planning an event on Borough-owned property? A Special Event Application is required for individuals and nonprofit organizations hosting events such as festivals, walks, races, concerts, celebrations, and other public gatherings.

Applications must be submitted at least 45 days before the event to allow time for review and coordination with Borough departments. Depending on the nature of the event, organizers may be responsible for the cost of extraordinary municipal services, such as police, public works, or other support. Borough-based nonprofit organizations receive a reduced rate for these costs. 

All organizers must provide proof of liability insurance, sign a hold harmless agreement, and comply with all Borough requirements before the event can proceed. The Borough reserves the right to cancel an event if conditions pose a risk to public health, safety, or Borough property.
