Garden State Grandmas
The Garden State Grandmas, Chapter 972, is a member of the National Federation of Grandmother Clubs of America.  A non-profit charitable and educational organization comprised of grandmothers throughout the United States.  The purpose of the club is to raise money for various charities for local and neighboring children who need operations or treatments.  They sell candy twice a year and make Easter baskets for underprivileged or needy children.  Tomorrow’s Children in Hackensack Hospital asked them to make rag dolls for children who are to have surgery or receive treatments.  They have been supplying them for about 16 years – over 5,000 dolls!  They provided the Cerebral Palsy Center with two outdoor benches.  They are a small but special group of grandmothers, and are always looking for new members.  In 2008, they will be celebrating their 25th year of helping children and their families.
