The Fair Lawn Recreation Department with cooperation with the Holiday Celebrations Committee announces a Mother’s Day Card contest for all children grades K-5th.

Each child will be required to make up their own specialized card for their mother or relevant guardian. All cards must include a cover, an inside personal greeting stating 3 reasons why your mom is the best! The back cover must include contestants name, grade and school and telephone number.

Category 1 –Grades K and 1    Winner receives a $25.00 bank check. Mom receives a bouquet of flowers.

Category 2 – Grades 2nd and 3rd     Winner receives a $25.00 bank check. Mom receives a bouquet of flowers.

Category 3 -  Grades 4th and 5th    Winner receives a $25.00 bank check. Mom receives a bouquet of flowers.

Deadline for cards is Wednesday , May 7, 2008

Please drop cards off at the Fair Lawn Recreation Department located at the Community Center at 10-10 20th St. All winners will be notified on Thursday, May 8, 2008.

Contestants are encouraged to use any creative materials including crayons, markers, construction paper, oak tag, cutouts, in designing their special “Mother’s Day Card”.  If you are not notified as the winner, you can pick up your card on Friday, May 9, 2008.  Please note –Female guardian or female family member can also be used.
