The Borough of Fair Lawn Office of Emergency Management, in addition to the Early Warning Siren System for community alerting, utilizes a Community Emergency Telephone Alerting System.
This
system will call your home with very specific information during times of
emergency in and around Fair Lawn. The
Community Emergency Telephone Alerting System accesses 250 telephone lines
contacting our residents at a rate of 15,000 per hour.
The system will allow emergency officials to contact very specific areas
of the borough or if necessary the entire community.
Residents
with published telephone numbers already have their address and telephone number
listed in the computer database. Residents
with unpublished telephone numbers are requested to voluntarily provide their
primary unpublished telephone number, and address to the Office of Emergency
Management to be included in the program.
All
unpublished telephone numbers and addresses provided will be kept strictly
confidential and used for Community Emergency Telephone alerting only!
