The Engineering Department is responsible for the design and the inspection of all Municipal Construction Projects. The work may include new facilities or the rehabilitation of existing ones. the activities may involve the water systems, roadway networks, recreational facilities, storm drainage, sanitary sewer systems or municipally owned buildings. 

the Engineering Department also provides staff support for the Planning Board. The services include review of site plans and subdivision applications, clerical support, technical advice, monitoring of construction to assure that the requirements of the approvals are met and pre-application consultation. If potential applicants contact the Department early in their project planning, we can provide guidance which may make the application process smoother.
