The
Fair Lawn Historic Preservation Commission (FLHPC) invites you to submit an
application to the Municipal Clerk for appointment to the FLHPC.
Do
you believe the only way to know where we’re going is to know where we’ve
been? Do you have a desire to volunteer to help preserve Fair Lawn’s
History? Serving on the FLHPC may be right for you.
The
Bergen County Historic Preservation Advisory Board honored the FLHPC with a
Bergen County Historic Commendation Award for Preservation Leadership.
The FLHPC sponsors public education events and reviews historically relevant
matters submitted to the Council and the Planning and Zoning Boards. An
ongoing responsibility is overseeing the rehabilitation of the Naugle House.
The FLHPC was instrumental in saving this historic structure. So far, the
work has been behind the scenes planning though visible work on the structure
will begin soon.
Please
feel free to attend the next meeting of the FLHPC on October 7, November 11 or
December 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center Card Room.
